Pierre Ringwald Annalise and the Zen Poets deliver a set of melodic, at times playful, compositions. To my ears, several tunes recall the 'Spiritual Jazz' sounds of the 70s. And they can swing!

about

This is dedicated to the Mounds. Mounds are furry black and white striped half plant and half human or ape creatures who speak through colors. They were imagined and realized by the great visual artist, Trenton Doyle Hancock. The Mounds are a profound inspiration to my musical creativity.

Music for Mounds is the title of the album and also the name of a cycle of compositions including "Rejoicing of the Mounds," "Fallen Mounds," and "In a Beautiful Parallel Universe."
